POPS Reopening Guidelines

The Pavilion On Park Square (POPS) has been cleared to open with a reduced capacity – currently set at 1,250. Everyone on the Town of Forest City team is excited to welcome guests and live events back to this special place.

Throughout the season, all events will be held in alignment with government guidelines. While 1,250 is the number we are currently allowed to have, event capacities may be updated and hopefully increase throughout the summer. Please know that the decisions to hold, cancel or reschedule events are at the discretion of Town staff, in conjunction with artists and acts, and they will be making decisions for future events closer to the show with an eye on how COVID-related conditions are improving.

What is the same:

  • Friendly Town staff and volunteers to welcome you to our venue
  • Unique, safe and family-friendly events at our state-of-the-art amphitheater
  • Concessions sold by Explore Forest City
  • Soaking up the energy of a live performance

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this entire process. Be sure to follow our social media for updates. Stay safe and we can’t wait to see you soon!

WHAT WE ARE DOING

CREATING SOCIAL DISTANCE

Your experience has been modified to support social distancing guidelines during events. Your ticket/reservation will indicate which section your seat is in. For ticketed events, you will receive a wristband upon entering the amphitheater that allows access to your designated section – this wristband must be worn at all times.

For ticketed and non-ticketed events, you and your party must keep at least six feet from other parties in the seating areas and other parts of the amphitheater, including restroom and concession lines and parking lots.

Unfortunately, if you try to access sections other than your designated section, you will be subject to ejection from the show. You must keep your wristband in place so we can identify your correct location. Staff and volunteers will periodically monitor crowds to ensure that guests are following the safety guidelines.

FACE COVERINGS

Face coverings are encouraged for all events. Disposable masks will be available at the gate if you do not have one.

VENUE SANITIZATION

High-touch surfaces and common areas such as seats, door handles, counters, and tables are regularly cleaned and disinfected. Restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Additionally, hand sanitizing stations will be located in various locations around the amphitheater.

CONCESSIONS

Please wear a face covering and maintain six feet between other guests outside of your party while in line.

When purchasing alcoholic beverages, you will be asked to show an ID to prove you are over 21 and may be asked to remove your mask briefly for identity verification.

STAFF/VOLUNTEER/VENDOR HEALTH SCREENINGS

There will be numerous staff and volunteers on-site to assist you during your visit and to help with everyone’s compliance with these protocols. Staff, volunteers and vendors will undergo a health screening before their shift and are encouraged to wear face coverings and maintain a physical distance of six feet from you and others whenever possible.

ENTRANCES & PARKING

You must enter the park using the designated entrances located on Park Square and Mill Street for all events. There are several parking lots located right beside POPS and off of Main Street, and you can find the parking diagram on our event page at townofforestcity.com. You will be reminded of this information in the “Know Before You Go” email that you will receive the morning of your event.

ACCESSIBILITY

Accessible seating is available for every event and will also require six feet of physical distancing between parties. If you require accessible seating for any event, please call 828.245.0365.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

STAY WITH YOUR PARTY

We ask that you stay within your designed section and do not mingle with unassociated parties during the event. Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to comfortably sit and enjoy the show.

The gates will open one hour prior to all events. There will be no entry prior to that time. Please do not arrive earlier than fifteen minutes before the gates open.
