Incidents

• An employee of J&K Used Cars reported an incident of attempted larceny of a motor vehicle.
• Gary Pruett and Walter Walker reported an incident of breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools, simple assault, breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and attempted larceny of a motor vehicle.

Arrests

• Shannon Cassandra Givens, age 41, of Moss Rd. in Rutherfordton, was cited for possession of marijuana. She received a written promise to appear.
• Brandon Nicholas Sprouse, age 21, of Kanaan Dr. in Rutherfordton, was arrested for possession of cocaine. He received a $3,000 secured bond.
• Rebecca Leigh Absher, age 39, of Arlington St. in Forest City, was arrested for possession of schedule III, possession of schedule IV, driving while license revoked, fictitious information to an officer and also served with warrants for two counts of failure to appear. She received an $8,500 secured bond.
• Sherry Lynn Thompson, age 28, of Hamilton St. in Forest City, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $1,000 secured bond.
• Justin Lee Doty, age 33, of Woodburn Dr. in Forest City, was arrested for injury to real property and assault on a female. He received a $100 secured bond.
• Bobby Thompson, age 33, of Circle Dr. in Mooresboro, was arrested for breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools, simple assault, breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and attempted larceny of a motor vehicle. He received a $30,000 secured bond.
• Cody Blake Dunaway, age 23, of Barbara St. in Forest City, was arrested for no operator's license, operate a vehicle without insurance and allow a motor vehicle to be driven without registration. He received a $1,000 secured bond.
