Officer Price was shot and stabbed to death while attempting to arrest a man for being drunk in public. As he made the arrest the suspect stabbed him several times. He then gained possession of Officer Price's service weapon and shot him several times.
The suspect was convicted of Officer Price's death and sentenced to prison. He was released after completing his sentence.

Weapon Used: Shotgun; 12 gauge
Suspect Info: Apprehended
Officer Watkins was shot and killed as he responded to a domestic disturbance. A man had threatened to kill everyone inside the house if the woman living there did not come outside. As the officer approached the man opened fire with his 12-gauge shotgun, fatally wounding Officer Watkins. The suspect was apprehended later that evening.
Officer Watkins had been with the agency for three years.
