- Pinning of new Assistant Fire Chief Garrett Brooks
- Firemen Quentin Samuel (Rutherfordton Fire Dept.) and Tyson Samuel (Asheville Fire Dept) were recognized for their heroic actions and swift response during a house fire rescue on November 30, 2024. While off duty, the brothers observed a house engulfed in flames at 162 S. Broadway St. They arrived first on scene and promptly took action, saving a woman's life and preventing further damage to the home. Captain Jason Ray, Assistant Chief Garrett Brooks, and Chief Billy Samuel presented Quentin and Tyson with the Chief's Above and Beyond Award.
- Presentation on Daniel Road subdivision plans by Town Planner Preston Janco. The preliminary plat includes a proposed 152 single-family lots, soil and erosion plan, a sketch of the utility plans, proposed stormwater control measures, road layout, existing features plan, and more relevant material. Council approved the preliminary plat as presented, following the recommendation of the Planning Board.

- The FY 24-25 budget includes the installment of a SCADA system replacement for the Water Treatment Plant. Council awarded the financing to Truist Bank as recommended. The following proposals were solicited from financial institutions for $795,150 and a 59-month term:
- Truist Bank - 4.32% interest rate
- United Bank - 5.25% interest rate
- Approved budget amendment to allocate funds pledged from RHI Legacy Foundation for the Legacy Soccer Complex
- The North Carolina ABC Commission stated that the most ideal alignment of terms would be the same month term expiration across alternating years. Council approved the following requested term adjustments for the ABC Board:
- Angie Smith - term expiring Jan 2026
- Lauren Harrill - term expiring Jan 2027
- Scott Roach - term expiring Jan 2028
