  1. Commissioners Dee Dee Bright, Chris Lee, and Joey Brandle took the oath of office.
  2. Dr. Mason and Commissioner Bennett presented Commissioner Conner with a plaque honoring his nine years of service on the Forest City Board of Commissioners. Dr. Bennett commented on Mr. Conner's accomplishments, thanking him for his work for the town and council. Mr. Conner reflected on his years in office.
  3. Council approved the following vehicle to be declared surplus: 2007 Ford F150  - VIN # 1FTRF14W87NA58350
  4. Mayor Holland made the following ex-officio appointments for the next two years:
    • ABC Board - Chris Lee
    • ADA Board - John Mark Bennett
    • Beautification Committee - Dee Dee Bright
    • Board of Planning & Adjustment - John Mark Bennett
    • Cemetery Committee - Dee Dee Bright
    • Forest City Owls Liaison - Chris Lee
    • Housing Authority - Shawn Moore
    • Library Board - Shawn Moore
    • Recreation Commission - Joey Brandle
  5. Council approved the appointment of Dee Dee Bright as Mayor Pro-Tem for the next two years.
  6. Financial update presented by Finance Director Roxanne Stiles.
  7. Manager's Report from Dr. Mason:
    • Reflected on the success of this year's Christmas Lighting Ceremony on Thanksgiving night and highlighted the upcoming weekends of hometown holiday festivities, including carriage rides, hayrides, and visits with Santa.
    • Provided an update on FEMA reimbursements.
    • Congratulated the town's Billing Coordinator, Sherry McNeilly, on her upcoming retirement. Sherry has worked with the town since 2006.
    • Congratulated and welcomed new commissioner Joey Brandle.
    • Thanked Commissioner Conner for his nine years of service on the Forest City Town Council.
