Incidents
- An employee of The Shak reported an incident of receiving a counterfeit bill.
- An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of assault inflicting serious injury, two counts of assault with a minor present, resisting arrest, three counts of assault on an officer and littering. (See arrest of Laney)
- An employee of Wal-Mart reported an incident of larceny.
- An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of recovered stolen property.
- Ralph Carson reported an incident of larceny of a credit card and larceny of cash.
- Earl Stott reported an incident of breaking and entering, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and communicating threats. (See arrest of Tedder)
- An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of damage to land and reckless driving.
Arrests
- Donta Deon Laney, age 28, of Groce St. in Forest City, was arrested for assault inflicting serious injury, two counts of assault with a minor present, resisting arrest, three counts of assault on an officer and littering. He received a $10,000 secured bond.
- Denikka Michele Simpson, age 34, of Crestview St. in Rutherfordton, was arrested for misdemeanor larceny and also served with a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. She received a $15,500 secured bond.
- Timothy James Tedder age 36, of Harmon St. in Forest City, was arrested for breaking and entering, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and communicating threats. He received a $10,000 secured bond.
- Andrew Anthony Fier, Jr., age 17, of Timber Ridge in Forest City, was cited for damage to land/property and reckless driving. He received a written promise to appear.
- Kanan Blake Brock, age 18, of Indian Trail in Forest City, was cited for damage to land/property. He received a written promise to appear.
- Benny Michael Shelton, age 24, of Holland St. in Forest City, was arrested on a warrant for communicating threats. He received a written promise to appear.
