Incidents

• An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of carrying a concealed weapon. (See arrest of Ponder)
• An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of child abuse.

Arrests

• Rayvon Shariff Ponder, age 17, of Wilkins St. in Forest City, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest. He received a $2,500 secured bond.
• Kayla Carver Vanbuskirk, age 24, of Hwy 108 in Rutherfordton, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $2,500 unsecured bond.
• Brian Michael Whitener, age 30, of Rock Corner Rd. in Forest City, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $50,000 secured bond.
