Incidents
  • An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident reported an incident of flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, Failing to stop for a duly erected stop sign, fail to burn white light on registration plate, possession of schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substance and resisting a public officer. (See arrests of Simmons, Franklin and Franklin)
  • Joel Jowers reported an incident of found property.

Arrests
  • Malik Shaheem Franklin, age 29, of Thompson Street in Forest City, was arrested for possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, maintain a dwelling to keep controlled substance, possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $17,000 secured bond.
  • Rahkim Tashiem Franklin, age 22, of Hill Street in Forest City, was arrested for possession of schedule II, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and resisting a public officer. He received a $10,000 secured bond.
  • Ashley Hope Simmons, age 24, of Old US Hwy. 74 in Bostic, was arrested for Flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, failing to stop for a duly erected stop sign and fail to burn white light on registration plate. She received a $1,000 secured bond.
  • Eddie Floyd Dixon, age 37, of Spruce Park in Forest City, was served with a notice of hearing for violation of unsupervised probation. No bond.
