  • Holly Taylor reported an incident of larceny of a motor vehicle.

Arrests
  • Eric Ryan Date, age 26, of Hill St. in Mooresboro, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. He received a $2,000 secured bond.
  • Shaiheem Lamont McDowell, age 22, of W. liberty St. in Forest City, was served with a show cause order. No bond.
  • Jimmy Issac Moore, age 35, of US Hwy 64, in Rutherfordton, was arrested on a warrant for larceny by employee and financial transaction card fraud. He received a $10,000 unsecured bond.
  • Ellen Pegram Hoppes, age 65, of Spruce Pine, NC, was arrested on a warrant for obtaining property by false pretenses. She received a $25,000 secured bond.
  • James Adam Gettys, age 30, of Golf St. in Forest City, was served with show cause order for failure to appear. No bond.
