Incidents

  • An officer of the Forest City Police Dept. reported an incident of a recovered stolen vehicle.
  • An employee of Murphy USA reported an incident of uttering a forged instrument.
  • An employee of Marburger Nissan reported an incident of damage to property.
  • An employee of West Main Trading Post reported an incident of larceny.
  • Charlotte Baynard reported an incident of second degree breaking and entering and damage to property.
  • An employee of Mighty Dollar reported an incident of disorderly conduct.
  • Rueben Navarro reported an incident of found property.
  • An employee of West Main Automotive reported an incident of attempted larceny of a motor vehicle and second degree trespass. (See arrests of Craig and Swink)
  • An employee of Waffle House reported an incident of defrauding the innkeeper.

Arrests
  • David Howard James Jr., age 38, of Kent Drive in Forest City, was arrested on a warrant for forgery/counterfeiting. He received a $5,000 secured bond.
  • Justin Keith Lowery, age 29, of S. Broadway St. in Forest City, was arrested on outstanding warrants for felony probation violation, misdemeanor probation violation and possession of methamphetamine. He received a $20,000 secured bond.
  • Joyceann Michele Causby, age 27, of Jams Rd. in Mooresboro, was arrested on a warrant for forgery of instrument. She received a written promise to appear.
  • Stephanie Paige Bridges Watkins, age 30, of Big Springs Avenue in Forest City, was served with a criminal summons for larceny. No bond.
  • Robert Thomas Craig, age 43, of E. Mountain St. in Rutherfordton, was arrested for attempted larceny of a motor vehicle and second degree trespassing. He received a $16,000 secured bond.
  • Roy Howard Swink, age 22, of Mountainview Street in Forest City, was arrested for attempted larceny of a motor vehicle and second degree trespassing. He received a $16,000 secured bond.
  • Gabriel Escalara, age 30, of Kenan Weeks Rd. in Newton Grove, NC, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. He received a $500 secured bond.
  • Benny Michael Shelton, age 23, of Holland Street in Forest City, was arrested for felony breaking and entering, damage to property and first degree trespassing. He received a $15,000 secured bond.
  • Eder Lopez Tellez, age 22, of Hall Street in Forest City, was served with a show cause order for failure to pay fines. No bond.
  • Arianne Elizabeth Ellis, age 20, of W. Main St. in Forest City, was arrested for no operator's license. She received a $500 secured bond.
  • Kelly Chad Everette Hunt, age 39, of Mountainview St. in Forest City, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. He received a $3,000 secured bond.
  • Christina Kennedy, age 18, of Pennsylvania Avenue in Spindale, was arrested on a warrant for larceny. She received a $500 secured bond.
