Assistant Chief
Assistant Chief Weeks has been employed with the Town of Forest City for over twenty years and has served in numerous capacities within the agency. He has served as a patrol officer, a corporal and a sergeant in the patrol division. Additionally, he has served as a narcotics detective, general assignment detective and lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division. He served as the Captain of the Support Services Division prior to being advanced to his current role as Assistant Chief of Police.
Along with his experiences within the police department he has been developing himself professionally obtaining his Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with Isothermal Community College. He is currently in the process of enrolling at Western Carolina University to continue his education. Professionally Assistant Chief Weeks is a graduate of the North Carolina Justice Academy's Management Development Program. He has also been awarded the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission as well as the Criminal Investigation Certificate Program with the North Carolina Justice Academy. He has numerous additional certifications and awards that he has earned during his years of service.
